Abstract
The methodology of interpretive books refers to the study of interpretive processes and products and is an important type of interpretive studies. The organized thought of the commentators to achieve the meaning of the divine verses and intentions includes a series of methods and tendencies. Shaʿārāwī interpretive style in this research is examined in an analytical-descriptive manner. Poetic interpretation is one of the contemporary Quranic interpretations that has used most of the analytical capacities of the divine text with a social approach. Mohammad Metwalī Shaʿārāwī first tried to interpret each verse with another appropriate verse in terms of meaning and vocabulary, and then sought help from the prophetic hadiths. Hence, his enlightening method of interpretation is based on the verses and the Prophetic tradition. In addition to using credible sources, he has paid considerable attention to the treasures of literature for a deeper understanding as well as useful historical information. Based on the findings of this study, poetic interpretation by explaining the apparent concepts of theology and refining the Quranic themes appropriate to the contemporary era, the moral and educational growth of society and responding to the interpretive ambiguities of the audience and the sufficiency of the Qurʿān to guide man in individual life and socially acknowledged.
